How does it work?
Operations, engineered.
A fully configurable industrial data-logger platform for Raspberry Pi + Mitsubishi PLC lines.
Tovex-ARM turns a Raspberry Pi into the data spine of a production line. It reads every item off a Mitsubishi PLC over SLMP, builds the batch report, delivers it to the office, and shows the line live on a shop-floor screen — with every field configurable from one browser-based console, nothing to edit by hand.
What's configurable, all from the GUI
Every setting lives in one config file — the single source of truth. The GUI edits it, the background managers act on it, and the PLC reader and report renderer read from it.
Built for the factory floor
Status
In production at Sai Samarth Engineering, Goa, on check-weigher and VTD lines.
Successor to the earlier plc-checkweigher system — same proven PLC and reporting core, now generic and configurable rather than compiled in.

What do people ask about it?
How does Tovex-ARM read a Mitsubishi PLC?
Over SLMP — the MC protocol — on Ethernet. The PLC's IP, port and comm type are set in the browser console, every logged field names its device, word count and format, and a fresh-start bit marks a new batch, so the data logging follows the line's own registers. The PLC segment is a dead-end network that can never become the Pi's default route.
Where do the reports go?
Into a batch PDF — company, address, title, footers, columns and statistics all configurable — delivered to a Windows share over SMB in the office, store-and-forward when the network is down, while the line shows live on a shop-floor screen.
Why a real-time kernel on a data logger?
PREEMPT_RT, opt-in with no forced reboot: the collector runs at real-time priority on its own isolated CPU core, protected from the OOM killer, so nothing else on the box can starve data collection. System upgrades wait out package locks and pin the real-time kernel, so an update cannot break a running line.
Does it need an engineer on site?
It is designed to run unattended for months: self-healing services, power-cut recovery, store-and-forward delivery and durable journals. A test run from the console proves the whole chain — connect, acquire, build a PDF, deliver — and a recheck re-verifies every setting.
